DIAGNOSTIC ULTRASOUND & ARTHRITIS

This is an imaging system, similar to x-ray or MRI, that instead uses sound waves reflecting off structures within the body to obtain real time pictures. For instance, when imaging an artery, you can see the pulsing on sceen which represents blood flow to the foot.

At Segel Podiatry we have an in-office diagnostic ultrasound machine. Dr. Segel has received special training and holds certifications in obtaining and analyzing ultrasonic images of the foot.

In keeping with our holistic approach to footcare, the diagnostic ultrasound has no radiation, is superior in seeing dynamic soft tissue , and has almost no contraindications.
